Q: What's your deal?

A: We've been dating since 2009. We've been learning to code (Erik backend, Maya frontend) since early 2011. We highly recommend it. The couple who codes together has less time to yell at each other!

Q: So... what can you guys make?

A: It turns out, we can make pretty much anything. We learn as we go, and there hasn't yet been anything that we wanted to build that we couldn't conjure up. Sure, it involved a few frustrating moments like Maya spending two weeks trying to get a clock to work, or Erik not sleeping for four days because of one illusive bug, but in the end we've always been able to come through.

Q: Why the heck are you called Totally Nuclear?

A: Well, if you listened to Erik's podcast, you'd know that one of his most embarrassing stories of all time involves him trying to impress a girl by saying "Totally nuclear." (It wasn't Maya, and it didn't work.) We like remembering Erik's embarrassing moments. It motivates him to try harder!

Q: I heard you have some cute pets.

A: Oh, thanks for asking! Yes, we live with Cool Ethan (the cutest cat in the world), and we have a dog named Oliver (the most handsome dog in the world) who's living with his grandparents until we move out of NYC.
